First we distinguish from the broad categories of swimwear:

Top Style

  • Triangle ---- Triangle bikinis are perhaps one of the most common bikini designs.While there are some variations in terms of how bottoms and tops may look like, triangles are the most common shape, especially for tops.   • Scoop ---- Scoop The biggest feature is that the collar reveals the skin in the shape of a shovel.
  • Bandeau(bandeaukini) ---- A bandeaukini (alternatively called a bandini)is a bandeau top (no straps going over the shoulders) worn with any bikini bottom.
  • Banded Halter Top ---- A halter bikini top that with a wide elastic band under the bust to give added support.
  • Board Shorts ---- Boardshorts are a type of swimwear and casual wear in the form of relatively long loose-fitting shorts that are designed to be quick-drying and are generally made from strong and smooth polyester or nylon material.
  • Bra Top ---- Bra tops are supported with horizontal elastic strips, molded cups, or underwire. Boning in a swimsuit top refers to a plastic or metal seam placed in the side of the suit that provides additional structure and support. This is commonly found in bandeau and strapless tops.
  • Fauxkini ---- Faux Tankini. Similar to the tankini, but the top is longer than the tankini, and some styles can hang down to the knee.
  • Halter Top ---- A swimsuit style where the straps of the top go around the back of the neck and hang around the neck.
  • Keyhole ---- The top front of the swimsuit will reveal a hole for accentuating the figure.
  • V Wire Bandeau ---- Tops with underwire that converge along the lower edge of the top in the middle of the chest and form an inverted V shape.
  • Sport Top ---- A swimsuit top in the form of a sports tank top.

Bottoms Style

  • Board Shorts ---- Made into a bottom in the form of men's beach pants.
  • Brazilian ---- A very bold style that covers the body with very little fabric to show off the maximum figure.
  • Full Bottom ---- The undershirt wraps well around the hips.
  • High-Waist Bottom ---- A high-waisted swimsuit with the lower waistline usually located at the edge of the belly button.
  • Hipster Bottom ---- A more standard bikini style bottom.
  • Skirt bottom ---- Swimsuit Bottom is in the form of a short skirt

  • Floral ---------------- The main pattern of the swimsuit is a floral pattern
